@Swaye please to be putting down the bug spray and make my announcement official.

Ok, Round 1 of the 1960's is up. Poles will stay open for a few days on each round. I aim to have Round 1 of the 1970's up by tomorrow and maybe the 1980's as well.

Have any of you seen the bootleg video of Stevie Wonder's 1973 show in Seattle?
-
No. Please to be posting. I've seen plenty of his 1973 stuff on YouTube though. I felt pretty strongly about him as the clear #1 seed for the 1970's.Baseman said:Have any of you seen the bootleg video of Stevie Wonder's 1973 show in Seattle?

What? No Cameo for the 80's bracket!??! I'm fucking out! -
So there were a lot of painfully difficult choices that had to be made to whittle this exercise down to 32 artist. I'm WTF'ing myself on the Isley Bros, Temptations, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Curtis Mayfield, etc, but just couldn't find a way to keep out the 16 I chose from the 60's and 70's. If you have complaints on the 80's to the present, direct those to my colleague in Hillsboro, OR.

Come along and ride on a Fantastic Voyage. -
Maybe you could at least put Tim McGraw in one of these brackets since he got so royally FUCKED in the country tourney.

Fuck man. I love Lakeside. Rowed with some really cool rich bastards that went to HS there.PurpleThrobber said: -
You're gonna have to take that one up with @Tequilla . I gave him carte blanche on the Cuntry tournament.PurpleThrobber said:Maybe you could at least put Tim McGraw in one of these brackets since he got so royally FUCKED in the country tourney.

Still too lazy to build a proper bracket doc like @UW_Doog_Bot but he can do that for the Punk Rock tournament.
-
I can make a bracket if you tell me how you want the seeding and rounds to play out. Also, I would suggest making each round happen on a regular set of days of the week so people know when to check in and vote. Ex. Mondays and Thursdays with voting closing day before next vote etc.
-
We're doing 1 round each day this week. Today is 1970s. Thurs 1980's and Friday the 90s and beyond.UW_Doog_Bot said:I can make a bracket if you tell me how you want the seeding and rounds to play out. I figured a band like the Spinners would get fucked over but the Temptations? Whiff
-
I hear ya. But who would you remove from the 1960s and 70s brackets to fit in the Temptations?joeEDangerously said:I figured a band like the Spinners would get fucked over but the Temptations? Whiff

I could go with 5 pretty easilyYellowSnow said: -
Kool and the Gang for starters. They're definitely above the SupremesYellowSnow said: -
Queery for the young & hip. Where does The Weeknd fit into this shit?
-
The Supremes had 5 US #1 singles in 1964- 65. The only group that had more over those 2 years was the Beatles. Now I am not saying only records sales matter - I voted Otis Redding over them - but at a certain point that has to come into play.joeEDangerously said: -
R fucking Kelly?
Filth! -
Temptations got Tim McGraw'd.joeEDangerously said:I figured a band like the Spinners would get fucked over but the Temptations? Whiff
Temps definitely belong somewhere in the tourney. Move Kool and the Gang to the 80's
Where's the fucking Commodores, for god's sake? Don't give me this Lionel Richie pop shit. I"m talking Machine Gun, Slippery When Wet, Brick House FILTH!!!
And no love for the Bar-Kays?!?!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibAgxpzetNs
