Cost shifting and the price of Government backed healthcare.
Now, what happens when you give "Medicare for all" and you no longer have the Private sector covering the costs of that the government already isn't paying for?
What happens to the cost when all the people already on Medicaid are put into the Medicare system?
You still think this saves the government money dumbfucks?
What you're going to have are scores of doctors in private practices who don't work for large hospitals quitting. They aren't going to work at a loss. And then what happens to access to healthcare? Do wait times get shorter or longer?

Thimk about how dumb you have to be to think, in the country with highest healthcare costs per capita, that costs will go up if you implement the system that all the countries that spend less than you use.
Bob, you couldn’t figure out what a median was yesterday but you solved this one? -
This has been discussed and answered. At least now you know the difference between Medicare and Medicaid. That you didn't a couple days ago.SFGbob said:As it is right now Medicare doesn't cover the costs of many medical procedures. It's why many doctors are already refusing to see Medicare patients. Medicaid is even worse when it comes to covering the costs incurred and thus even few doctors will agree to see Medicaid covered patients.

Think about how fucking dumb you have to be in order to think that adding millions of new people to our healthcare system won't increase waiting times to see a doctor.allpurpleallgold said:Thimk about how dumb you have to be to think, in the country with highest healthcare costs per capita, that costs will go up if you implement the system that all the countries that spend less than you use.

I know right. I'm hearing that preventive care doesn't work under a governmental system.SFGbob said:

Hey Bob, does anything here look off to you? I’m sure with all of the $$ we’re spending that our healthcare outcomes are superior to the rest of the world.

Yeah, the private sector is propping up the parasites on the public teat.
The largest healthcare expense for nearly every individual comes in the last few years of life. Countries like the Netherlands don't worry about that because they just euthanize their sick elderly.

We spend more on healthcare because we can. We probably spend more on our pets than other countries as well. The problem with our healthcare system is on account of government interference in the market place.
Medicare for all will ensure that most people other than those who can afford to pay for a private care system, will end up with a Medicaid level of health coverage. -
So if the Netherlands is just killing off their elderly how come they are ranked 14th in avg life expectancy and we rank 31st? We rank behind such economic powerhouses such as Chile, Costa Rica, Cyprus and Slovenia.

So are you going to answer the question about the chart or not?SFGbob said:Yeah, the private sector is propping up the parasites on the public teat.

Life expectancy numbers are often fudged. Most all other countries do not count a baby who dies in child birth against their life expectancy numbers. Many, many things go into life expectancy other than healthcare.Rubberfist said:So if the Netherlands is just killing off their elderly how come they are ranked 14th in avg life expectancy and we rank 31st? 16 year old's in Chicago shooting each other aren't good for life expectancy. An opioid epidemic isn't good for life expectancy. Americans being fat as fuck isn't good for life expectancy. None of these have much to do with quality of our healthcare.
