You can’t figure out why the median is much lower than the mean?SFGbob said:

I understand what you are saying, and I completely agree with you that there is a link between socio-economics and race. However, it's been almost sixty years since we've passed affirmative action. I'm sorry, but if your family hasn't made it out of poverty in three generations, you kind of have to share in the blame irregardless of race.allpurpleallgold said:I don’t think I’ve ever thought less of the right than I do seeing you guys not understand the inheritance thing.
1 in 7 white families are millionaires. 1 in 50 black families are. If you have a policy that benefits millionaires, who is it helping more? I knew @MikeDamone would be stupid enough to say it benefits every equally but I didnt realize it was all of you.
I also think the 1 in 7 number is bullshit. Unless, they are combining assets of other branches of a family tree.
There's something that really stinks about the calculations they're making
The accumulation of white wealth looks set to continue. The average white household, worth about $930,000 in 2016, will accumulate a net worth of more than $1 million by the time the next triennial survey comes out in 2020, Hamilton said. (The reported average is skewed by wealthy outliers. The median white household was worth $171,000 in 2016.)
Median white household worth is less than $200K. Garbage fucking in garbage out.
Btw, what do you suspect the impact on family wealth might be when nearly 70% of all black children are born out of wedlock? Think that might have a negative impact on a family's wealth being raised by a single mother? -
Except I didn’t say that. It benfits all millionaires equally, you’re the one yapping about race.allpurpleallgold said:I don’t think I’ve ever thought less of the right than I do seeing you guys not understand the inheritance thing.

WRONG!SFGbob said:If you were truly interested in improving the net worth of the black family you'd encourage all of them to not have children until and unless they are married. But that doesn't have quite the same SJW cache as blaming whitey.
We have to legislate winners and losers. Come on, make it fair. -

It doesn't make sense to me how 1 in 7 white families could be millionaires when the median white house hold net worth is only $171,000.

It's clear that I suck at being a white male

I’ve actually gone back and forth on my inheritance tax position, same with abortion. Iv’e read extensively what Jefferson, Adam Smith and Thomas Paine had to say on the issue of inherited wealth. There is a wealth (no pun intended) of writings on it and debate between the founders. Of course, I don’t expect any of you fucktards, especially HondoFS to actually pick up a fucking book an form an educated opinion.allpurpleallgold said:I don’t think I’ve ever thought less of the right than I do seeing you guys not understand the inheritance thing.

The fact that a lot of you are shocked how a family could have a net worth of a million is telling. For example, my buddy bought a house in Redmond in 09 for $800k and it's worth almost $2 million now. That's an extreme example but I have more friends than not over 40 that are worth more than a million.
That being said, most billionaires give their wealth to charity rather than their kids. Look at Bill Gates. I don't know where Paul Allen shook out on that. I don't think he had kids and it went to his sister.
And yes most of his wealth wasn't taxed as it's in unrealized gains. -
Median is just the middle number. For every person above 171,000 there’s someone below 171,000.SFGbob said:It doesn't make sense to me how 1 in 7 white families could be millionaires when the median white house hold net worth is only $171,000.

Hey strawman ass fucker, no one is shocked that a family could have a net worth over a million dollars, I’m shocked that 1 in 7 white famlies have a net worth of over a million.2001400ex said:The fact that a lot of you are shocked how a family could have a net worth of a million is telling. Hell on account of that shitty investment you said I should have never made and my savings I have a net worth over a million dollars -

So what does any of your bullshit about unrealized capital gaines being inherited have to do with any of this? Other than your typical strawman. Go back to chuckling about Newson moving into Reagans house. That was your shining moment. You even gave it an El oh fucking El. OK!2001400ex said:
