He’s not getting enough rotation.HillsboroDuck said:
I think you're overrating some bad variance this year from three. His shot is not broken it's just not going down. His form is as good as it's ever been, it's just rimmed off a lot this season. He's a killer from the line which is always the sign of a good shooter. I'll bet you anything he has a long NBA career.FKA_Mousecop said:

The fuck? He's going to play in the league for over a decade. He'll be a 40% three point shooter in the NBA rather easily, his stroke is fundamentally fine, once he's paid to do nothing but play basketball it will click within a couple of years. With his length and athleticism and just unreal defensive instincts he's going to play for a long damn time. He's basically the perfect three and D player. Doesn't need to touch the ball much to stay involved in the game, will hit the corner three when asked to.FKA_Mousecop said:I wish Thybulle was a plus 3 pt shooter. He could have a place in the league if he did.
He has enough offensive tools he might be more than that eventually.
He's not fundamentally any worse offensively than Justin Holiday was. In fact he has better career shooting percentages from 2pt, 3pt and the free throw line (and better senior numbers from everywhere but three). And Thybulle's significantly better defensively. Holiday's had a solid career. Thybulle will do the same he just won't take a couple years after he graduates to get his shot. He's in a rotation next season. -

That will get fixed rather easily once he doesn't have to play school.backthepack said:

Jesus Christ, Justin Holiday is a "good" NBA player. The Painter will become a decent shooter in the NBA and will probably be the type of guy that winning teams put on the floor late in games to preserve leads and close out games. He is an unreal defensive guard.HillsboroDuck said:

Just got home from watching the second half at a bar after work.
1. The UW defense is the reason I get excited to watch this team play. I couldn't wait to get out of work and watch us play DEFENSE. Holy shit that is fun too say. Trapping out of the half court zone is a thing of beauty and the rotations are more often than not quick and succinct. Absolutely wonderful to watch. A fucking joy.
2. USC is a really talented team that has no clue what it's doing in a half court game. They are long, pretty savvy with the ball and athletic as fuck. When our spacing was spread too thin they deftly sliced the zone for some easy looks. They also created 19 turnovers (5 by Thybulle and 7 by Nowell) that kept what felt like a pretty comfortable game get close a few times.
3. USC was the first team to try going straight up, man to man with us today. What happened? Dickerson ate their lunch. He had room to roam and looked like the guy we all expected to see this year. They played some token zone but they tried to out athlete our team and scheme. If UCLA expects Moses Brown to guard him one v one on Saturday, then Noah will own him like he owned Ayton on offense last year. UCLA will need to shoot 60% threes to beat the dWags. They won't.
4. Kevin Porter Jr has the face of a 17 year old and the body of a full grown man. Jesus Christ. He leaves after this year.
5. Please stay Jaylen. You need to prove to scouts that you won't ever turn the ball over seven times against pac 12 players ever again before declaring. Please come back and lead UW to the final four. You've got the players and you definitely have the coach. Be a legend forever.
6. Yes I didn't use a ? when referring UW as Our or Us. Fuck off.
Can't wait for Saturday! -
He's a true freshman that has been suspended for a chunk of the season playing in his home town. He is a man child.Motown said:Porter has been trying to prove it all game. A couple of pretty passes from quick penetration. But lots of forced shots. Not impressed

Andre Roberson is a good NBA player who is getting 10 million a year. A great defender who shoots 25% from 3. There's a spot for Thybulle in the NBA.FKA_Mousecop said:

Justin Holiday has carved out a nice career for himself and I think most people would take Matisse over him at the same point in their UW careersBlastDoor said:

Great win and a great run of wins. The team is playing good defense and has a chance to be a very good team in March. I’m happy for Hopkins, the kids that stuck around when Hopkins was hired, and the fans that thought a quick turnaround was unlikely. UW will be rated soon and get some well-deserved good press. Go Huskies!!
