many of their voters are dumb as dogshit, the media won't call them on it, and their voters that know they are being lied to don't give a fuck. They like it when their pols lie to them.

I don't think the vast majority of Dems know they're being lied to. Not at all.

You would think that the price of gas, beer, milk, etc and restaurant food my impact their consciousness. It's like it's rubbed in your face every time you buy something.

When your house keeper and staff buy all that stuff, who notices?

Or if it's free on the government dime, who notices?

I did a quick calculation on the percent increase for an item we buy at Costco on a regular basis. 30% increase since the last time we purchased less than two months ago. Now start multiplying that across the board. Only the stupid will be fooled by this nonsense. 9.5% to 8.5%, time to throw a party.

Yup, Pelosi has no idea how much her gourmet ice cream is costing and after her Asia trip it really doesn't matter does it.

June/July 2021 is when it really started accelerating. Since the official quoted number is the 12 month rolling number, they are really fucking up if they don't get it flattening out against the baseline now.

I do think the topline number will begin to flatten/slow, but part of what is happening to do that is that there are segments of goods that are having wild discounting going on, and others where the price will continue to exponentially increase (the ones that matter) that will balance out. There have been a ton of bad inventory purchasing related decisions made the last 18 months. CEO's said to avoid out of stocks at all costs, while China pretty much tripled its minimum order quantities on anything plastic resin related as an example. There's a glut of bad inventory on everyone's books, and with interest rates going up, it won't be as cheap to hold it. Major retailers are already cutting their week of supply because they can pass that cost down to suppliers. So consumers will benefit from the upcoming discounting purge, but the cost will be lots of jobs.

Beef producers are dumping cattle due to high costs and midwest drought. Lower prices temporarily. Also, like gasoline, high prices due mitigate demand. The recent Let's Increase Inflation Act will due just that $700 billion in new spending and a wish list that we can spend money on stuff that doesn't work (chicom solar panels and wind turbines and EVs) and not have more inflation.

Well it's a good thing our Vegetable in Chief told us this AM that he's building a strong economy. I was worried for a minute. It's all good.

The voting majority of Rats are not intelligent people. Anyone remember when dingy harry reid bought land on both sides of where the fed was going to build a bridge in the desert and half the country recognized insider trading type behavior from a rat senator? They interviewed one woman who clearly was a rat and she went on and on about what a brilliant businesses man he was for thinking of this opportunity. She was dumb as a brick and the typical rat voter. She embarrassed herself and her party only she was too stupid to recognize it.

I have heard from the mouth of more than one rat congressman admit that their followers weren't very bright and very easy to shape and manipulate. They look down on their own constituents.

When people believe in something they’ll allow themselves to be lied to in an incredible fashion.

I believed we were doing the right thing in 2002/2003 going to Iraq, and I held that belief for years, using SH’s capture as justification.

I was a stupid 22yo but you get my point.

    Yeah. I think I was 12

    I really wanted to believe

If we have a recession we can have deflationary pressure. Yeah! Another dim victory.

Remember gas and food are "volatile" and not factored.
