I susoected he was a high risk to not pan out for health reasons. He looked too good for a Lake recruit otherwise.

I dont remember. I think it was more than Dartmouth, but hat's what I mean. In his highlights he looked really good, like someone that should have been out of reach for Lake'and staff. Yet he wasn't.
It was obvious from the start that with 🦴 offense the Jimmy Lake rtdb backs were going to pile up the couches.
Why? Jimmy Lake made every running back look like shit by running them into a stacked box on every play. Running backs actually look good when the defense has to worry about a passing game. Or throwing the ball to said backs. Or varying blocking schemes.
There could not be a more polar opposite offense to Jimmy's than Mike Leach's air raid, and Mike Leach made shitty running backs look amazing, as they got 10 yards all five times they carried the ball.

They're too big and too slow. A rb in this system is a receiver most of the time.
