Cardinals cornerback Jeff Gladney dies at 25

Cardinals cornerback Jeff Gladney has died at the age of 25, the team announced Monday.

Gladney was picked at No. 31 in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. He played in 16 games in his rookie season, logging 81 tackles and a forced fumble.

Gladney was a standout college football player at TCU, where he earned first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2019.

He signed with Arizona in March. Gladney missed the 2021-22 NFL season after he was released by Minnesota in August 2021 after being indicted on a charge of felony assault. Gladney was later found not guilty.
