We'll see if we hit the projected "10" defections that are rumored but I expect there will be some freakouts tonight across the country as kids leave for NIL deals that have likely been promised under the table while they've been practicing with their current schools.
The tea leaves say we are losing one of our projected starting corners, likely due to NIL dealings. Also likely losing the majority of Bonerpopper's illustrious "stable", which we are probably better off for. I imagine our line depth will be hit as well. If Kirkland comes back, there's an odd man out on the 2-deeps
Either way, it will be interesting

Covington isn’t a starter.

Losing a corner is whatever. Nobody has shown anything.

Did anyone leave by the deadline?
I count 10 scholarship players leaving before the deadline:
Tim Horn
MJ Tafisi
Laiatu Latu
Cooper McDonald
Sawyer Racanelli
Mark Redman
Sam Taimani
Terrell Bynum
Will Latu
Jackson Sirmon -
Was this kid any good? I only remember how shitty the team was and that nobody stood out as irreplaceable.Motrboatnsob said: -
He was probably the #3 corner on the roster behind Powell/Perryman, who were the spring ball starters. But none of those 3 are anywhere close to the level of corners that we've been used to over the last 6 yearsBleachedAnusDawg said:

The guy with two years of experience in the program wasn't going to start over a walk-on and an FCS transfer. His measurables seem good but I'm not losing sleep.NEsnake12 said:

More of an issue for 2023, unless we continue to use the portal for Radley-Hiles or PerrymanNEsnake12 said:

The "played in all 12 games" thing is a but misleading. He played special teams and I don't think he recorded a stat. It's shitty because he's probably our 3rd best cb and the guy starting over him is a 1-year rental player. Likely gonna need to hit the portal next year for CBs. Terrence and Willip recruiting is gonna be a bear to overcomeBleachedAnusDawg said:

When asking if a player was any good just remember 4-8.BleachedAnusDawg said:
