I was liberal from the standpoint that I supported limited abortion, legal marijuana and thought we should get out of Vietnam, not because we were the bad guys but we weren't winning nor had any intention of winning and sending American kids off to die for some sort of virtue signaling was evil.

My first weekend at the U of O there was a Vietnam "peace" parade and I went and took a look. Leading the parade was the Viet Cong flag. It wasn't a Vietnam peace parade, it was Communist Victory parade. I knew it, but thousands of stupid students actually thought the parade was promoting peace. Sort of like being a PMS housewife and proudly supporting BLM as some sort of positive virtue signaling.
