Imagine talking shit to Oregon after an Oregon QB just won the previous Super Bowl. Travis Jonsen, formerly Waller before he changed it to his husband’s name or something. Seen here with fellow Super Bowl winning QB and teammate Tom Brady after last year’s win.

Fun fact: shortly after this picture was taken Tom had security tackle him. A staffer pointed out he was a member of the team but no one gave a fuck.

I wish I could vet all Husky stuff posted by doogs on Twitter. Would you rather have an alum be a practice squad guy on a team going to the Super Bowl (which probably won't even win) or be:

1. young Pro Bowler who already looks like he could be an all-time great
2. Heisman winner who had a disappointing pro career but still won some playoff games and gets reps on a playoff team
3. Guy who can start and win games in the league.

I'm very happy for Browning though. Getting a handful of years of practice squad paychecks and possibly a Super Bowl out of what he has physically is ideal.

Travis Jonsen started his college career as a QB at Oregon. He ended his college career as a WR at Montana State.

Jonsen somehow made it into the NFL as a WR for the 2021 Super Bowl Champion Bucs. Not sure whether he was on the practice squad or actually an active players for the Bucs.

Jonsen actually lined up at both QB/WR at Montana State. WR in the pros. Has bounced around.

BTW Browning getting absolutely leveled is misleading as he was indestructible - someone once referred to him as Gumby

My dad always said the best job in the NFL would be backup punter. Since they don't actually carry one of those, I think 4th string QB is a decent gig too.

Does the long snapper does the field goals or the center? For some reason I thought the long snapper does only the punt unit

Still not a bad way to make a living. League minimum is around $500k

For some tim now, it's been illegal to touch the snapper until his head up. So they just keep their heads down. Unless a snapper is running down to try making the tackle on punt coverage, it's a pretty cush gig.
