I think going from 9-4 to a Rose Bowl championship is a tougher rebuild than going from 0-12 to 7-6.

It's much harder to go from average to great than from shitty to average. I think Petersen has more on his plate than Sark did in 2009 because the goal now is Rose Bowls.

I think even the Doogs are tired of bullshit bowl games.

Really good article. It all sounds great, but we will have to wait and see. I do feel good about having a coach obsessed with detail and leaving no stone unturned when it comes to pursuing greatness. If he fails, it won't be from a lack of effort like Sark.
