Meh. This is just classic confirmation bias. It's telling because we want it to be telling. But these exact comments are made by players every single time there's a regime change. Sometimes they're telling, sometimes they're not. Time will tell.

Either way it will be interesting.

    My brain assploded.

No doubt that there's a risk of confirmation bias.

However, we also noted that there were a number of weaknesses in Sark and a few of them came from the standpoint of discipline, structure, and attention to detail.

I think it's fair to hold an opinion that the jury is still out and the ultimate proof will be what we see come Fall.

At the same time, I also think it's fair to be excited about the early returns and the fact that the proof is obvious to the uneducated (hey Joooooooooood)

that is actually spot fucking on. much as I want it to be true, and in fact think it is true, this happens every time there is a coaching change.

doubt it? ask yourself how many times you've heard a guy quoted or interviewed as saying, "nah man, it was way better before. we worked harder. the new staff is soft. we're gonna suck."

as you said, these exact comments, and others like them, are said by the same cast of characters each and every time there's a new staff.
