The #CoachEffect swing from Sark to Chris for the #UWHuskies is 2 games a season. Instead of 7/8 think 9/10
He later said to Josh Wilcox (Justin's brother) that he would have had Sark at 10 wins this year at UW. So because Sark is a -1 coach effect coach that means he would have expected an 11 win season.
Because Petersen is a new coach his system says he should win 7-8 games, but with Coach Effect he has Petersen winning 9-10. So I believe he has Petersen in his first year here as a +2 coach effect.
Basically, we have gone from a -1 coach, to a +2 coach... Which is obviously a big fucking deal.
Thanks, Pat Haden!

Just got clarification:
He had Petersen during his time at BSU as a .5-.75 Coach Effect, and Sark as -1.25. So gap in Coach effect is 1.5-2.... Still AWESOME, bruh. -
If he had Sark at ten for this year, that puts us at 12. I think that is quite reasonable. I don't see any games this year where a win is a fluke. Maybe we aren't always the favorites but we should be in every single damn game.

To be fair Josh Wilcox is obviously bias towards Sark due to his brother.Mad_Son said:If he had Sark at ten for this year, that puts us at 12. I think that is quite reasonable. I remember going into 2012 he was blaming Ty a lot and saying in 2013 we'll be a top 15 defense which never happened. -
At this point, I think it's hard to expect us to be better than 11-2 for this season. However, better than 11-2 is definitely in play. 10-3 is possible depending on how things play out. Anything less than 10-3 would be a massive disappointment.

I said I was expecting 10-11 wins this year, he replied and said he would probably subtract one because there always seems to be a loss for a first year head coach that makes you go, WTF?
I just can't see Petersen 1) Losing a single OOC game (4-0) or 2) going worse than 6-3 in conference play (10 wins). -
If Dude Brah was going 5-4 in conference ... Petersen is going to go 6-3 or better in conference.
-
I'm taking that into account and that is why I have UW going 10-3 otherwise I'd say 11-2. I think UW drops one to either at Arizona or at WSU in a game that we'll feel like we let get away.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:I said I was expecting 10-11 wins this year, he replied and said he would probably subtract one because there always seems to be a loss for a first year head coach that makes you go, WTF?

I do think going forward those type of losses will be few and far between with Petersen. While with Dude Brah we'd have at least 2 WTF losses a year(Mainly his first four years, last year played out like chalk). -
It all boils down to whether Oregon State is ranked.
