West Coast football rests on Lincoln Riley's shoulders
Not to save the Pac-12, that ship is allready sailed and has become just a matter of when not if SC and whatever 2-4 other teams the Big 10 decides to take in to keep serve as best they can with the SEC.
The sooner Lincoln can get SC back to running train on the conference the better.
The merger of the MWC and leftover Pac-12 teams will however be a nice little G5 story 1-2 times a decade.

Your delusional/in denial if you don't think it's going to happen.
Pac12 has been punished by media distribution cabal for trying to elbow their way in at the table and failing. Once the new media deal is in place with a proper legacy media partner, Pac won't be maligned nearly so much.
Pac-12 So Espn and Fox weren't the legacy partners last media rights deal?
Pac-12 has pigeoned wholed themselves into one thing (along with SEC going to ABC/ESPN) and that is "Pac-12 after dark" which is code for networks to show games at night on the west coast after the College Football Day is over for everyone East of Boulder.
That will be remedied when their TV deal is up and they partner with Fox and cut Nick Aliotti and their dead weight fucking network. And yes they are able to show games in a time slot that none of the other power 5 can, dunno what senile point you were trying to make there as it doesn't mean that Pac 12 games will stop airing during the day, and it gives them the ability to get more money for their deal
The college football day isn't over east of Boulder at 10 EST on a Saturday dipshit. You have no idea what you're evening talking about.
The ONLY thing that is going to save this shithole conference is USC cheating like motherfuckers and LA dropping serious coin into building brands via NIL deals.
Save us, Snoop Dogg.
I will say it again. With Fox having the Big 10/Ohio State Network, and ABC/ESPN carrying the SEC (and iirc plan on running 2 games per week on Komo 4) the Pac-12 fills one need and that is NIGHT GAMES. That's not being senile that's fucking common sense and basic logic.
If College Football wasn't over on a National Stage when Pac-12 after dark begins, Christian M would have won the Heisman the year he had 25 td's. He didn't b/c no one was up to see or watch it.
Go look at the ratings for the day games across the country and the Pac-12 at night. Not even in same universe.
But keep holding onto the fantasy that Larry Scott and the Pac-12 Network was/is the issue.
"Christian McCaffrey would have won the Heisman otherwise", shut the fuck up dude. Go watch something else if you're too poor to go get a hotel room or drive home late at night.
The Pac 12 Network chose to go it alone and not compromise with Fox/ESPN because Larry Scott had a coked out tech vision quest to turn the conference into some Olympic sports startup where west coast Olds like you can get their rocks off watching Utah gymnastics in your own regional subnetwork. It was a massive reach at the time and even though the university presidents cheered it on (because they're almost as stupid as you) the AD's and everyone else knew it would be a disaster.
Then the Direct TV shit happened because his whole platform is a fucking joke. Go watch the Pac 12 network some time. It's 100% the reason they fucked up the conference and why they hired a business guy to start getting ready for the next negotiations.
