Seattle Seahawks: NFL Films Seahawks Season Review- 1984. On the heels of the team’s first postseason appearance in franchise history in 1983, the team went 12-4, good for 2nd place in the AFC West and a return trip to the playoffs. The stout defense forced 63 turnovers over the course of the season, including eight in Week 2 vs. the Chargers and six in Week 10 vs. the Chiefs, which featured a record-breaking four returned for touchdowns. Safety Kenny Easley led the league with 10 interceptions en route to being named the AP Defensive Player of the Year, and head coach Chuck Knox was also recognized at the league level, being named the NFL Coach of the Year.
