Former Auburn quarterback Bo Nix is transferring to Oregon, he announced on social media on Sunday. The news comes a week after the three-year starter for the Tigers entered the transfer portal.
In 34 games for Auburn, Nix has thrown for 7,251 yards, 39 touchdowns and 16 interceptions with a 59.4 completion percentage. Nix also rushed for 859 yards and 18 touchdowns in three seasons.
In a video posted last week, Nix said he has graduated from Auburn and is looking for a new start as a graduate transfer. Nix, a former five-star recruit, was the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the Class of 2019, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Oregon will be starting a new quarterback next year after losing senior starter Anthony Brown Jr. after this bowl season concludes. The Boston College transfer has started every game this season for the Ducks and is in line to do so against No. 16 Oklahoma on Dec. 29 in San Antonio.
The Ducks will also be led by a new coach in 2022 in former Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning, who was hired last week to replace Mario Cristobal after he left for Miami.
