USC beats out Alabama for 5-star cornerback Domani Jackson

After decommitting from USC a month ago, five-star cornerback Domani Jackson signed with the Trojans on Friday, bolstering new coach Lincoln Riley’s first class with some much-needed high-end talent. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Jackson is the top-rated player in California, the nation’s No. 2 corner and No. 7 overall prospect in the Class of 2022.

When Jackson re-opened his recruitment in November, Alabama was thought to be the favorite to land the talented cornerback, but Riley and assistant coach Donte Williams — who has recruited Jackson for more than a year — won out in the end.

Jackson is the second five-star prospect in the Trojans’ class, joining running back (and teammate at Mater Dei High) Raleek Brown, who was once committed to play for Riley at Oklahoma.
