What does that asshole Ron Fairly have to say now about Almonte? ROFL!

Probably sitting in his mom's basement with a boner in his sweatpants.

Actually my mom is in a pewter urn in my basement. And I haven't taken my cialis so no boner in my boxers.

that was vintage smoak. Double with no one on. Hits a hopeless fly ball with men in scoring position. Why the fuck did they not sign kendrys?

    Arizona123?

The Mariners said they need to copy the 12th man. They said they need the crowd to be the 10th man. So they aren't going to use a DH?

Might as well have the 10th man and have the pitcher hit. Haven't had a DH that could hit since 'gar (ILTCHT)

I'm not going to be a marinoor and claim this is a sign the mariners are back but that win was unmariner like in that they used clutch hitting and patience to grind it out.
It's one game, I still can 'to see more than 78 wins

It's like that magical 1995 season when they refused to lose. Solid pitching kept them in the game until the offense finally woke up and not only took the lead in the late innings but ran away withing.

Starting rotation is a #fuckingdreckfest until kuma and Walker come back. It's Felix and .... pray for rain

A lot of things would have to go right for this team to contend. Iwakuma and Walker have to come back quickly and pitch like they're completely healthy. Smoak and Ackley have to actually produce. Miller has to show last year wasn't a fluke. Zunino has to hit like a major leaguer.

There's almost no way all of those things happen. But if they did, they could be a solid club.

Really, the key is Ackley and Smoak. If either of them ever turn into above average hitters for their position the M's might have a shot at being something.

So yeah, the over under is (7)5.

at least this year there isn't a clear cut favorite in the division. Oakland simply cannot lose Colon and Parker and not take a step back, and seeing texas today, their pitching is a total #fuckingdreckfest. If all things break right and they can get to 85-87 wins they would likely be in contention throughout the year.
    Unfortunately that is so unlikely.
The pitching staff has to come together and be solid at least 1-4, and someone has to emerge as protection for cano.
I'm also not sold on almonte, and ackley. And Morrison looked awful yesterday

I saw from the box scores that Texas' opening day starter was a guy who had never even started a game before. After Darvish, that rotation sucks.

The Mariners have won 8 straight opening day games. During that streak they've produced only two winning seasons inside that streak.

While their best stretch was 2000-2003 they were 1-3 in opening day games. Calm down everyone.

Whatever Root Sports production intern found this gem needs a raise.
