The public learned last week that Rodgers was unvaccinated despite giving off the public perception that he was vaccinated. A misleading answer the quarterback gave to a question in August about his vaccination status led to the belief that he was vaccinated (more here). He also misled people about his vaccination status by not wearing masks in multiple situations, such as in press conferences, which were violations of the league’s protocol for players who have not received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Rodgers was asked over the summer whether he was vaccinated. He never made 100 percent clear whether he was, only opting to say he was “immunized” and that he wouldn’t judge those who are not vaccinated.

“I’m not going to judge those guys,” Rodgers said at the time. “There’s guys that have been vaccinated that have contracted COVID, so it’s an interesting issue that I think we’re going to see played out the entire season.”

It’s worth noting that the reporter did not specifically ask if Rodgers has been vaccinated against COVID-19. The question was whether Rodgers has been vaccinated, and he said “I’ve been immunized.” Here’s a video

He said immunized, clearly implied vaccinated with the rest of the quote. Then didn't follow NFL policy. If he were a backup middle linebacker he would have been suspended. But the NFL is too pussy to suspend a top QB.

I've already said I'm against mandates. But Rodgers made an ass of himself. If you aren't getting vaccinated, man up and say it. Or say it's a private matter. Don't imply you were vaccinated when your weren't.

Guessing you didn’t listen to his interview. He literally said he prepared to explain what immunized meant. The media didn’t ask a follow up question. His teammates and the league knew his status. Who gives a fuck what the media thinks. Had he sat there and given them his actual opinions in August would they have proclaimed him a hero or a domestic terrorist?
