"Democrats hold a substantial early voting lead in the hotly contested Virginia governor’s race between former Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe and Republican Glenn Youngkin.
But Republicans could close that gap on Election Day in less than a week.
At least 667,012 Virginians have submitted early ballots for the gubernatorial election taking place on Nov. 2, according to the latest data from Democratic data firm TargetSmart.
That’s more than triple the number of early voters in 2017."
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/10/27/democrats-take-lead-in-early-voting-in-virginias-highly-competitive-governors-race-.htmlSo if you read the article early votes are following the usual trend of 55% Dem, 30% GOP, and the balance are Independents. The issue is there is TRIPLE the usual amount of early voting - that's what mail in voting does. The article is still predicting a close race, because conservatives, who will vote heavily in the booths on election day, are super energized this year - but it probably still won't be enough. Without mail in voting and harvesting I think Youngkin would absolutely trounce this guy (like by 5 points which is HUGE in modern VA as it is basically a blue state now).
Can't wait for four years of a retread Clinton grifter. Best part is even after a slim win using every trick in the book to get it, the Dems will call it a "mandate" and govern as left as possible.
