Kinda like getting your ex girlfriends name tattooed on you after she dumps you and goes on to become a model, no?

More or less pathetic than UW hanging Roy's # two years after he graduated?

At least Roy finished at UW. Definitely more.

Retiring Brandon Roy's jersey isn't at all pathetic.

Retiring Wilson's jersey when he left to Wisconsin is really pathetic though.

Absolutely ridiculous. Particularly given that NC State ran Wilson out of town for Mike Glennon.

Retiring numbers in college football should pretty much be saved for the best of the best. And even then, probably not so much.

Hello there. Brandon Roy majored in Basketball at the University of Washington. After four years of excellent performance in studies for his chosen major, including a senior year where he was arguably the greatest basketball major in school history, Brandon graduated from the UW basketball program with honors and was immediately successful in his chosen career field, making millions out of the gate and then getting a massive raise just three years out of school.

When Brandon Roy retired for his first time Lebron said that the NBA just lost the best shooting guard in the league. LBJ doesn't really like to give other players credit besides himself unless he is asked by the media, to go out of his way and say that speaks volumes.

Roy was incredibly fun to watch, he didn't have the jaw dropping dunks everyone loves to see now days but he brought the same wow factor by making people look like fucking morons when he had the ball. He could finish with multiple defenders in the paint and knew how to get to the free throw line.

If the guy didn't have such fucked up knees he could have gone down as legendary.

Yes he could dunk but that is not what you remember him for. You remember him being cold blooded like this:

I was actually at Spirit Mountain Casino when Roy hit that shot. Entire casino fucking erupts in joy. Very memorable moment for me.

Yup and Romar couldn't even get to a fucking elite 8 with a talent like this. 99% of colleges will never get to see a player of this caliber play for them.

But hey we made the Sweet 16 with elite talent as always.
