Holmgren is a solid coach and guest on the radio ... problem is how many hosts on that station can actually ask Holmgren the right questions? Mitch can. Elise and Jerry? No chance. Ian would be tolerable if he got rid of Puckett - who you can tell Holmgren thinks is an idiot. Softy's just a male cheerqueer ($75k) with a microphone.
Currently needling Oregon on Facebook and twitter. What he could be doing is asking why in the world uw didn't make the nit and if romar should be fired but instead he'd rather make fun of a far superior program than us. I hate our media
Didn't your mama learn you that it's not nice to make fun of fat retards?
Softy is such a motherfucking embarrassment. No wonder they hate us so much down in Eugene, listening to the arrogant Seattle drivel he spews. It's great that Seattle won a SB and all, but despite the NFL's popularity over the other major sports, it's easier to build a great NFL team than it is a baseball team, bball, hockey, college fball team, etc. We're the kings of pro football for now but we're not some fucking sports city dynasty like a boston or chicago. fuck.

Every response you've ever gotten on this forum disagrees.

If you want to make fun of retards that's fine, but if you make fun of racist repressed homosexual cripples then you are fucking gone!
Also some of you need to learn the difference between a retard and a racist repressed homosexual cripple.
Let's go down the list of PAC Coaches to see how good Lorenzo really is:
Washington State: No Coach - rumors of Kelvin Sampson or Ernesto filling the job. Sampson coached in a Final Four and Elite Eight at that basketball power known as Oklahoma. Ernesto got to the Elite Eight twice.
Oregon State: Craig Robinson ... not a great coach but he's got connections that give free pub.
Oregon: Dana Altman ... Got to the Sweet Sixteen last year ... track record of getting to the Dance w/ a mid-major school in Creighton
Cal: Mike Montgomery ... Has a Final Four and Elite Eight appearance
Stanford: Johnny Dawkins ... Has rebuilt Stanford back to a NCAA team ... in the Sweet Sixteen this weekend and his team has to be a favorite to get to the Elite Eight after beating a #2 seed in Kansas (a seed that Romar's never beat). Played in the National Championship game as a player.
USC: Andy Enfield ... Took Florida Gulf Coast to a Sweet Sixteen as a #15 seed ... beat a #2 seed in the process
UCLA: Steve Alford ... Coaching in his second Sweet Sixteen ... won a national championship as a player.
Utah: Larry Krystkowiak ... made the NCAAs in his only 2 years at Montana ... has taken Utah from 3 conference wins (and 6 overall) his first season there to 9 conference wins (and 21 overall) by his third season.
Colorado: Made the NCAAs 3 straight years at Colorado and had a Top 20 team this year before Spencer Dinwiddie tore up his ACL. Colorado's made 13 NCAA Tournaments in this history of the school, and only 5 since 1970.
Arizona St: Herb Sendek ... Has made the Sweet Sixteen once when at NC State
Arizona: Sean Miller ... Has made 2 Sweet 16s and 2 Elite Eights in his 9 completed seasons as a NCAA Head Coach ... has a #1 seed still going this year and has to be a favorite to get to the Title Game.
Washington: Lorenzo Romar ... 3 Sweet 16s in 18 years as Head Coach.

Just shut down this thread and consider shutting down the board for the day, because that is the high water mark.

Where does Romar rank in this grouping?
I would put him no higher than 6th, depending on what the Cougars do. I've always thought Sendek andAlford were a little overrated. He could be as low as 8th or 9th.
I would put Miller, Altman, Boyle, Krystowiak, Montgomery, and Alford ahead of him. In no particular order
Why Alford?
Definitely Monty, Miller, Boyle and Krystowiak. After that Romar fits right in with the rest of the dreck, IMO. Though I'd definitely take Enfeld over him on upside, even with the considerable downside.
The point being now is that the weakest coach in the conference (outside of the POTUS' Bro in Law) will be probably Herb Sendek or Andy Enfield (just based on experience). The conference as a whole has a number of quality coaches and the profiles of some on this list (notably Miller, Alford, and Dawkins) are going to go way up after this postseason.
Romar's definitely falling down that list ... and there's not a clear path for him to go back towards the top of the list.
If Doogs really looked at it objectively, they'd realize that Romar really wasn't as great as they make him out to be.

Only Monty, Boyle and Miller are clearly ahead of Romar. After that Romar has similar resumes as the rest. I don't get this Altmon love some have on here and as for Alford he has some really bad tournament losses as a high seed.

Now it's unlistenable unless they have a football guy like Holmgren or Hugh, or a great guest who can stand on his own.
I can't stand Hugh. Never have , never will.
Chicago isn't a sports dynasty city.I'm a dumbass, forgot the 90's bulls

Gonzaga is a women's basketball school.
Seriously how can Doogs talk shit when UW hasn't been to the dance in three fucking years and has been to only one sweet 16 since 2007.
