    In 1952 there were 20,000 polio cases in US kids - US population was 152 million so on an equivalent basis 40,000 cases. In most cases a polio victim would suffer some serious permanent muscle and nerve damage. So far, less than 560 children had died from PROVISIONAL chicom crud deaths. Of these the vast majority had a serious comorbidity or were immune compromised (cancer treatment or transplants). Polio would kill totally healthy kids. A rational health care system would allow for the vaccination of those few kids who were high risk. Vaccinating a healthy 12 year old is medical malpractice. Just like quarantining school kids when the quarantine should have been on a voluntary basis and it should have focused on nursing homes and those fat people with diabetes.

    More than half of the 15 U.S. metropolitan areas with the highest August unemployment rates are in California. It’s yet another blue state failure amid the COVID-19 economic recovery being led by red states that chose freedom and data over draconian mandates and anti-science lockdowns.

    The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the El Centro metropolitan area, which sits east of San Diego along the international border, led the nation’s nearly 400 metro areas, with an August unemployment rate of nearly 20 percent, compared to a national unemployment rate of 5.3 percent.

    The Yuma metropolitan area, which straddles Arizona and California, had the nation’s second-highest unemployment rate at just over 18 percent.

    Third and fourth place also went to California towns: Visalia-Porterville at over 10 percent, and Bakersfield metropolitan at 10 percent.

    The sixth and seventh spots on the dubious list were the Merced and the Hanford-Corcoran metropolitan areas, both sitting in the Golden State’s San Joaquin Valley at 9 percent.

    The large Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim metro area also made the Top 10 at nearly 9 percent.

    Of the 10 highest unemployed locales, all except one part of South Texas sit in blue states.

    The best place to land a job is in Lincoln, Nebraska. The capital city had the nation’s lowest August unemployment rate at a stunning 1.7 percent. It was followed by Grand Island, another Cornhusker State town, about 100 miles west, which finished second at just below 2 percent.

    Other winners, all from red states where governors prized liberty and common sense over fear and punishment, include: Logan and Provo, Utah; Idaho Falls, Idaho; Gainesville, Ga.; Omaha, Neb.; Sioux Falls, S.D.; Enid, Okla.; and Fargo, N.D. All the aforementioned cities posted unemployment rates well under 3 percent.

    Gov. Gavin Newsom, who survived a recall effort last month, responded to the harrowing news about his edicts — by mandating vaccines for all schoolchildren in the Golden State beginning sometime next year.

    I agree on the kids as they treat covid like a fart in the wind

    However when we apply this reasoning to adults my opinion alters.

    Yes, we don’t know the long term side effects of the vaccine but we also don’t know the long term side effect of Covid.

    One can rationally assume that sense the short term side effects of Covid are worse than the vaccine than the long term might be worse as well.

    They are both man made so we are not talking a natural virus or vaccine.

    Therefore, if adults worry about the long term effects of the vaccine than they should worry about the long term effects of Covid even more due to the vast difference in lethality in the short term effects.

    One prevents the person from getting the illness/disease. The other doesn’t prevent you from getting the virus or spreading it to others. It also requires additional booster(s).

    I remember the days when we’d head to the Peds office to have our kids IMMUNIZED so their IMMUNIZATION records were up to date. Schools never included nor asked for a record of their yearly FLU shot. Weird.

    Trump killed their attempt in 2020 by not buying into the authoritarian bullshit around the world. Allowed too much time for the actual data to be compiled. Sure, Trump may have been in on the Big Pharma push on vaccines (war kickbacks) but in doing so, time and information killed the lockdown boner.

    Now that data is leaking out, you're starting to see the protests mounting around to world relative to lockdowns. Even the pussy Aussies who have done jack shit for 18 months are rising up.
