On Sean McGrew and Kamari Pleasant not receiving any carries in the first two games:

“Those are two quality running backs, and I would expect those guys to play. We obviously haven’t had a lot of production in running the football for those first two weeks..."

    Of course. Why go to a scat back with a poor performing O line? Send Newton the Tank into the breech…again…and again.

    And I love Newton.

    But it points out to me Lake and Donovan’s worst quality. They think they are smart. They develop a game plan and don’t make changes. Not even half time adjustments.

    You take what the opposition gives you. Exploit the weakness. 9 in the box, roll the QB out and swing the blocking back as a mirror to draw the defenders away.

    I like Newton, but doesn't cut so much. Anyway, how many plays have we? run? You telling me not ONCE could this be tried???
