Will never happen but great homeless solution offered on my neighborhood watch group...

Treat the homeless problem like a national emergency.
Engage the Military/National Guard to set up big tents/compounds like they do for refugees.
Provide everything they need. A bed to sleep in, food, healthcare, sanitary care, mental health specialists, drug treatment, work training, take them out with military to clean the cities.
Round everyone up and they can either go to the tent to be taken care of by the military or be arrested or go to jail.

Will cost a hell of a lot less than current approaches and is way more humane than letting them die on the streets. Afghans are lining up by the tens of thousands for the same service.

The "Karens" reply:
- These are HUMAN BEINGS! You can't treat them like ANIMALS.
- This doesn't solve the root cause of homelessness - INCOME INEQUALITY and LACK OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING.

Militaries job is to kill people and break things not coddle lazy, loony, shitbags. Developing another huge class of people entirely dependent on others.

I mean, technically, that would be one way to solve homelessness.

Not a call for genocide. Don’t twist.

Pull the tax exempt status for all the fucking ‘non profits’ committed to solving homelessness and see how fast this shit gets cleaned up.

Pull the tax dollars that fund those "non profits" and you'll see how quick the homelessness problem gets solved. How about pegging any homeless funding to an actual decrease in the number of homeless. You get paid when we see results.

The goal is to creat as much homelessness as possible as quickly as possible.

I don’t see how this “solution” helps accomplish where our Leeeedership wants to take us

You don't need to re-invent the wheel here. Put crazy people into mental institutions and for the rest of them start enforcing the law. No public camping, public urination and defecation. Public drug use and drunkennes. Every homeless camp I see is strewn with litter and stolen bike and other materials. Start enforcing all of those laws. If I as a business or home owner decided I no longer wanted to pay to have my garbage hauled away and just started throwing it into the street I'd have the authorities on my door step in short order. But if your homeless you can toss your shit and garbage anywhere you feel like and nothing happens.

All good except when the legislature endorses drug use and bans policing.

See you at Cabellas. Hold the line at the Spokane River.

You forgot to address the bigger problem.

the people (Karen) and their guilt. Without that homeless guilt they would have to address things that function just fine.
