When Nebraska went to the Big Ten, that was all she wrote. It eliminated the state of Texas for recruiting.

Out of curiosity I just went and checked the Nebraska roster. Out of 103 players, 11 of them are from Texas. They also have one each from Quebec, Australia and Germany.
I always thought the Texas narrative was true because that's what ESPN told me. I checked their 1994 and 1997 roster. I guess the Texas narrative is fake news or lazy reporting. Abundance I'm sure. Color me shocked.

    1994 Includes Walk ons
    Texas 5
    California 11
    Florida 5
    NY/NJ 7
    Nebraska 89
    States total 31

    1997 includes Walk ons
    Texas 7
    California 7
    Florida 3
    NY/NJ 7
    Nebraska 110
    states total 24

I also noticed that they raided any midwestern state without a prominent D1 presence. SD/ND, Minnesota, Kansas, Illinois, Missouri. Each roster had 3-5 players from each of these states. The amount of scouting to cover all that territory must have been staggering. UW likes to pat itself on the back when they branch out to five states to fill a class.

There are DOZENS of FCS coaches who would give their left nit for $3.5 million per year

This bullshit about “who would want the job” is such crap. That’s big money with an ample supply of replacements.

Any cocksucker who drops that hot take is a fucking idiot.

Nick Saban ain’t walking through that door but Nebraska wouldn’t miss a beat punting Frost. Another in the long line of horrific Bill Moos hires over the decades.

    Bill Moos hired Scott Frost.

Bill Moos chaired the hiring committee that’s hired Pail Wulff at WSU.
