Amazon kicking tires about getting into retail ?
Interesting to follow thought process as they just spent the last 20 years succeeding in destroying a huge portion of it.
Word of caution new Management Group. You won't be able to use and buffer Prime Memberships and AWS into your physical location numbers. They are going to have to stand alone.
When the street sees your margin is in line with everyone elses, look out below when it comes to multiple contraction.
Their whole foods purchase should tell them everything they need to know about expanding their physical footprint and opening massive amount of stores.

TL;DR: Amazon is poised to become a modern day Sears. They’re having to open up their own stores as the Walmarts and Targets of the world are beginning to catch up.
I remember the rumors that they were going to buy Kohls.
It’s interesting that they’ve now pivoted to make so many things themselves. (Most of the clothing advertised on their site are their own private labels.)
I do laugh at the irony of it all…The Amazon bookstore in Bellevue Square looks like an old Waldenbooks.
Groceries nah
Clothes maybe. But just once then I buy the same online in diff colors
Restaurants...eh restaurants mostly suck. Fish taco or something every once in awhile
Haircut I guess
What else is there?
Every store will have dynamic inventory based on Prime member search and purchase results within a particular stores local footprint
