I think the end game here is college football will no longer be about education and all about being a minor league for the NFL. the transfer portal will be used to take advantage of conditional NILs for promising players...inequalities will abound...fans will no longer feel attached to the players/team driven by bounties...amateurism was once an equalizer and motivator. I expect tv ratings to go downhill significantly in a couple of years.

Let the top few hundred players each year go play in the NFL prep league and reset cfb to what it is. Mostly players who are getting an education with a handful who make a career out of it

This will never happen because the brands generate the interest and ultimately the money. Ppl aren’t really Interested In Bryce young. They are Interested in the potential starting qb at Alabama. Not some Birmingham minor league football team.
