    Most Oregonians are still wearing masks in public places. A quarter are still wearing them outside of them.

    I have little doubt that most Portlanders and other Oregonians would resist the same covidian restrictions if ordered by the Governor.

    Be it for climate change or the impending doom of the Cascadia quake.

    In fact they ordered Detroit Reservoir to be kept 5’ below full pool. Due to it being safer should the Dams breach during said earthquake.

    Never mind that most of the resort town was burned to the ground in the Labor Day fire storm. 400 homes lost. Most of them.

    The only businesses still running are the grocery store that survived, some pop up food carts and both of the Marinas. All of the Marinas infrastructure Burned to the ground. But the docks were fine. And about 250 boats are sitting in the harbor now. This place means a lot to a lot of people.

    Being that Detroit Lake is a reservoir, the boating Season is usually over on Labor Day due to draw down of the water for downstream purpose.

    The ordering of the water level to be 5 feet less will take a full month off of the Season. Boats will have to be out around August 1st.

    And once that happens, there’s little money coming in to the few businesses that did survive.

    So the Government has basically thrown a coma patient off of their bed, pulled out their tubes and said everything will be fine.

    All due to a potential threat from an earthquake.

    All this to say The Government adding restrictions for other “Emergencies” is already happening.
