I'd love to play poker with the second worst presidential negotiator, barry "What do you want" Obama, along with the worst presidential negotiator, Slo Jo "The dementia patient". From the Iran deal to Cho Bai Dens assurance to Putin that a minor incursion was ok we now have the dementia patient doubling down on the worst deal with the Taliban since Bergdahl.
PS I'm not seeing one person of color in the picture and certainly no trannies and where are the women? I didn't know the Taliban were republicans.
Suddenly it seems as if the Biden administration has launched into a flurry of meetings with foreign governments (and pseudo-governments) about all sorts of things. And they aren’t all countries you’d expect us to be talking to. On top of scheduling a meeting with the Saudi royal family (who are supposedly persona non grata because of assassinating a Washington Post journalist) and meeting with the unrecognized and illegitimate “president” of Venezuela, we’re now learning that a delegation is heading to Qatar to meet with the Taliban. And what will be on the agenda there? Why, they’ll be talking about unfreezing the Taliban’s overseas assets, of course. But we’re not doing it to help the Taliban. Perish the thought. We’re just making sure they have enough money to help their oppressed people after the recent earthquake in that country. (KRDO)
A couple of more charts that won't be on CBS or taught in a high school science class. At least one country seems to be doing a bang up job. The Euros not so much and India and China are building coal plants like crazy, but the US is the problem.
Note: By far the biggest increase in world energy production is oil, natural gas and coal.
Watching a little of the LIV tour at Pumpkin Ridge west of Portland. YouTube channel is down, but still showing on the official LIV Tour website. Opened up with the Brit announcer describing the course surrounded by pine trees (otherwise known as Douglas Firs). Shotgun start has some benefits, but then lots going on as you need to follow 18 holes of coverage all at once. Not feeling a lot of happy golfers and not a lot of energy. Definitely not the Waste Management tournament in Phoenix.
That phone always makes me laugh. We were eating at Tony Roma's by the Tacoma Mall back in the day when those things first appeared. There was a family in the booth next to us. The dude has this phone standing right at the end of his table so everyone can see it. Then he makes a call to someone and I hear him say, "yes, we're sitting here eating at Tony Roma's right now."
There is a scene in Star Trek IV in which the crew travels back to 1986 San Francisco to take two whales back to the future. Kirk is in a restaurant with a marine biologist trying to find out some info on the whales when he gets a call on his communicator. The biologist first thinks it is a pager, then is shocked when Kirk pulls out a small device and starts to talk on it. Today, without any government subsidies, the Star Trek communicator is now just a humorous device compared to a 2022 Smart Phone. Compare that to the Electrical Vehicle which only exists due to massive government subsidies and still needs to be forced on the public.
Hey Dems - Kill the filibuster and enjoy at least two years of a rusty conical cheese grater going in dry deep in your ass when the GOP takes over in 6 months.
