Democrats and leftards feel that they are the party who has the education and technical skills to run the country/state/city/dogcatcher. That they are the proper steward of the government resources and they will be directed to where they can do the most ~~harm~~ good. Of course there is no evidence of this and they certainly are not the part of SCIENCE. As we knew before DOGE and everyone should know after DOGE that dems view government programs as a means to fund dem government employees and dem NGO employees and to fund dem political constituencies. Any attempt to stop that funding by requiring internal controls over spending and to enforce accountability and responsibility is to be rejected.

A whopping $56 billion went out the door just in 2021, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Why would there be an urgent need to send out $56 billion for "day care" during the "height of covid," when 80% of the population was under orders to remain at home?

Yes, some people needed day care because Democrats also shut down the schools, and they were considered "essential workers."

But this would still mean that most children were now at home with their imprisoned parents. Only a fraction would need day care.
