A post for Bend. We both went to Aloha High School. The incredible cultural appropriation of a Hawaiian King by the Beaverton School District to represent the Aloha Warriors which I'm sure led to a hampered high school education for thousands of students over the years as they were forced to endure the imposition of systemic white institutional racism has finally ended. Perhaps a few years of watching the Aloha High School dance team, the Analanis (axed years ago as non-PC) dancing at half time to the Hawaii Five-O theme song can be expunged from our PTSD experience at Aloha High.
