The very idea that a barista or burger flipper deserves a high enough wage to pay all of their bills, including health insurance, retirement contributions and a mortgage is fucking ridiculous and will never be sustainable. We all know it. But some people have to learn the shortfalls of Socialism the hard way, because they're too dumb, delusional and melodramatic to pass Econ 101 at their local Community College.

So, a single taxpayer making $50,000 using the standard deduction would have a federal income tax of about $4,100 and a 12% marginal tax rate. A single taxpayer making a $1 million would have a federal income tax of about $328,200 and a marginal tax rate of 37%. That's 80 times the 50k dude. Toss in all the property and sales tax the million dollar dude is paying plus and social security and medicare taxes. Similar disparity with state income taxes which in high state income taxes pushes the total marginal rate on fed and state income taxes to over 50% and yet Team Dazzler and the dude want more money to waste and claim we are undertaxed.

I didn’t realize Hunter named his son Beau. How old will Li’l Beau be before the kids at school tell him his Dad banged his aunt (and his aunt’s sister), got auntie hooked on crack and meth, and all of this was shortly after her husband, and the uncle he is named for, died.
Kid should start going by his middle name ASAP.

The biggest problems with a leftist government is the complete lack of accountability and a priority for shoveling money to dem constituents with a kickback for money and votes to dem politicians (and RINOs). Pretending that the federal Department of Education and the Oregon or Washington education departments have educating students in reading and math is just that - pretending. Oregon has a petition going to allow for a vote for school choice allowing their tax dollars to go to private or charter schools.
ANOTHER DAILY CHART: SPENDING ON SCHOOLS IS IRRELEVANTLiberals have only one tool in their tool box: a checkbook. Whatever the problem might be, the solution is always the same: spend more money. Of course, it probably is not coincidental that the bulk of the money always goes to Democratic Party supporters. For liberals, spending is an end in itself–in fact, the only meaningful end. Whether their programs actually work is immaterial.
Education is a good example. The Democrats’ only solution to the fact that our public schools are awful is to spend more money on them. But that is precisely the policy we have been following for decades, with terrible results. This chart, from the Committee to Unleash Prosperity, tells the story. In constant dollars, spending on education has skyrocketed, while student achievement has stagnated. If anything the trend is downward:
The bad news is that our public schools are terrible. The good news is that parents and taxpayers are starting to catch on. In my state, Minnesota, 64% of 11th graders can’t do math at grade level. And a majority of all K-12 students can neither read nor do math at grade level. That is why, in our most recent polling, 74% of Minnesotans said they are in favor of school choice. The movement to free our children from the grip of the teachers’ unions and the public schools has gained momentum that may be irresistible.
