Ok gun law supporters...

The assumption is we need more laws on the books to keep guns from getting into people’s hands that should not have them. But in that there is an assumption that people follow the law.

Serious question then...what should be the punishment for people who are dishonest about their background/circumstances for the current laws on the books in order to obtain a gun?

    Exactly. In 1984, the proles could do more or less what they wanted. Just pepper them with a little propaganda to keep them at bay and occasionally pick off someone with some organizing skills. The real authoritarianism was aimed at the middle class. Same thing with Marx.
