2) Regardless of anybody’s individual thoughts on drugs, they are illegal. While we can talk about the different penalties for drugs that have been in place (and there are clearly some atrocities there) ... at the end of the day drugs are a highly illegal and dangerous business. If you get into that business, you also know the consequences (good and bad) that come with it
3) Financial literacy should be a core part of our educational system ... I have sympathy for anybody that caught up in the mortgage debacle in 2008 ... that said where do you draw the line between personal accountability and blaming others? I’ll just say the odds of being successful in life are much higher (my personal observation) if you take more accountability for what happens to you vs blaming your circumstance
4) I’m not going to try to unpack who got bailed out and who didn’t. You can have banks go under without basically entering in a depression environment. A 16 year old in the inner city whose mom works two jobs choosing between going to school and selling drugs is not where I want to draw the line and say “well you fucking chose that so tough shit”. 1. Minorities like Jews and Asians are often immigrating here as middle class or higher and well educated. When that’s your starting point, it’s easier to succeed then when you literally started as slaves.
2. Other minorities always had black people as the lowest rung. A good example of this is the US appraisal industry ranked neighborhoods in the 1930s with A, B, C and D grades. Neighborhoods with Jewish residents would get Bs and Cs while neighborhoods with even a single black resident would get a D.

2) Regardless of anybody’s individual thoughts on drugs, they are illegal. While we can talk about the different penalties for drugs that have been in place (and there are clearly some atrocities there) ... at the end of the day drugs are a highly illegal and dangerous business. If you get into that business, you also know the consequences (good and bad) that come with it
3) Financial literacy should be a core part of our educational system ... I have sympathy for anybody that caught up in the mortgage debacle in 2008 ... that said where do you draw the line between personal accountability and blaming others? I’ll just say the odds of being successful in life are much higher (my personal observation) if you take more accountability for what happens to you vs blaming your circumstance
4) I’m not going to try to unpack who got bailed out and who didn’t. You can have banks go under without basically entering in a depression environment.
