“ EXOS, a human performance company and one of the leaders in wellness performance, is piloting new 3D Athlete Tracking (3DAT) technology with Intel in training college prospects to reach their peak performance. The technology leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to obtain valuable insights for athletes about their velocity, acceleration and biomechanics when they’re sprinting and completing drills on the field.”
“Forty draft prospects trained with EXOS in Arizona for the upcoming NFL Draft using 3DAT technology. They include projected first-round picks such as Alabama’s Patrick Surtain II, USC’s Alijah Vera-Tucker, Michigan’s Kwity Paye and Northwestern’s Greg Newsome II.
The company itself has trained nearly 1,000 drafted NFL players, 191 that were drafted in the first round, including 14 last year.
While the implementation of the technology this draft season has seen early success for Intel and EXOS, Eaton sees the connection as just the beginning for future years of draft preparation for prospects.
“Long-term, what this technology will do is help improve athlete’s performance by giving them more information,” Eaton said.“
