My favorite movie noyds just did a pod talking about Apoc Now. Interesting to hear the discussion of the 3 different versions of the film that have been released.

Grierson and Leitch, apple pod link below or wherever else you get your pods

Apparently there's a documentary about the making of; Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse which I plan on to check out eventually.

ApocNow Director's Cut is much better

Hearts of Darkness is a really good docu film. We all congratulated George Zaloom when he came on set for Encino Man with some award he'd won for it

There's 3 released versions, none of them called Director's Cut:

    Apocalypse Now
    Apocalypse Now Redux
    Apocalypse Now Final Cut

F.O. Row Peter Puffer, you left off...
You can't put the poster for Rocky II and not have it on the list

Moonraker ... EASILY the worst Bond movie ever

Quite probably true. I always had a soft spot (not literally soft) for that chick who played the precocious skater who hits on James though.

I think I have the correct, shitty, Bond film with Roger Moore.

You’re thinking of For Your Eyes Only

Moon raker was a profit play going after the success of Star Wars

The primary love interests in Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, and A View to a Kill are rough to beyond rough

I agree with you on Moonraker and A View to a Kill, but I think Melina Havelock is gorgeous and a highly underrated Bond girl. I always thought Carole Bouquet (the actress who played the role) had a very Gal Godot vibe.

From a pure eye candy standpoint, she holds up very well

From an acting chops and chemistry standpoint it just fell lacking for me

The whole era of Bond movies are dark days as the franchise had clearly lost its way and without a few inspired performances this era represents the bottom tier of Bond movies for me

I find it really laughable when people try to put any of Craig’s movies in the lower tier ... I don’t think people realize how many trash Bond movies there are in comparison

I dont think I'd rate a single Brosnan or Moore flick over a single Craig flick. The ones I'll watch are all what I'd call mindless, guilty pleasures. The Craig movies stand on their own without the backing of the franchise. Don't tell the audience that Roger Moore is James Bond and nobody would sit there watching his boring ass.
