By the end of May it's going to be apparent that this thing is over and in our rear-view mirror and it will be as weird to see someone wearing a mask out in public as it was to see it in January 2020. Biden will of course take credit for vanquishing the virus even earlier than he had promised.

Does it really help when Biden, who has been vaccinated, along with everyone else in the White House that he comes in contact with, sits around the WH in a mask? Shouldn't they be showing that once you've been vaccinated you no longer have to wear a mask especially if you're surrounded by other people who have also been vaccinated? Same goes for Congress.

Lots of noise in California and a lot of Newsom opening things up has come when the threat of him being recalled and losing power became a little too real for him

High school sports in multiple states have had very aggressive and public campaigns to open up.

A lot of people have been doing things under the radar that fly in the face of the government’s directives.

That said you’re right a lot of people have rolled over ... and there’s a lot of people that have sacrificed for the last year to get to this point. That blank check shouldn’t be confused with an indefinite one.

They are so afraid of setting the example that they are exempt from others and people seeing them not mask and assuming they don’t. Effectively they view that as acting like Trump.

Instead what they are doing is overplaying the hand the other way by being overly cautious until everybody is vaccinated.
