Oregon Ducks reserve QB Cale Millen enters transfer portal
“Oregon’s four-string quarterback is leaving the program.
Redshirt-freshman Cale Millen has entered the transfer portal, according to a source with knowledge of the matter.
Millen never played on offense in two seasons with the Ducks, the first of which he redshirted due to a shoulder injury. He had two tackles on kickoff coverage last season, one each during the Pac-12 Championship game and Fiesta Bowl, and was on the front line on kickoff return.
Milen is the fifth UO player to enter the portal this month, joining Daewood Davis, Jayvaun Wilson, MJ Cunningham and Cyrus Habibi-Likio.
Oregon has five scholarship quarterbacks entering 2021 and 86 projected countable scholarship players.“
DJDuck would like that, Millen is his type of safety.
I really thought Millen could be a good one, but whatever advantage he might have had over the 2020 QB recruits evaporated with his injury and a new offense. I appreciate him stepping up and playing special teams. When Millen made a tackle in the conference championship the confusion from Sling Blade was obvious, he didn’t know you could have more than two QBs on a roster.
