Star Trek 2009 reboot

Watched it start to finish for the first time in awhile.

Practically a perfect movie. I mean Thor is Jim Kirk's dad.

The casting of the crew is perfect. They change the time-line and all it takes is 6 billion dead Vulcan

The two sequels are good too

    The plot is dumber than a keg of sawdust but it's thrilling, with inspired casting and really good humor. I thought it captured the spirit of the original series pretty well (I was raised on VHS tapes of City on the Edge of Forever and Balance of Terror), but my favorite of the reboot trilogy is Star Trek: Beyond which is the only plot of the three that is intriguing and not Reliant (shoutout to Wrath of Khan) on characters acting uncharacteristically stupid for the story to work.
