I wish we had Levi but you guys act like he was a dominant DL. He never was. He was good, made a few plays here and there, but he wasn't a hugely impactful player.

IMO a little bit of his overhype came from him being a Texas recruit and doogs always imagining a magical Texas/South pipeline and confirming their perception of Texas recruiting being a worthwhile expenditure of resources.
Tryon is a much weirder one; gold medal in the underwear olympics, mostly bronze play.

I usually end up factoring in recruiting ratings/incoming expectations with how they perform on the field. So in the case of Ty Jones where he wasn’t a 5 star god-tier WR, he still had his legion of supporters. I was excited to get him on campus. Then I saw the soft play and the drops. The transfer is an exclamation point on a statement we’ve already read.

I think people would have a different opinion of Levi if he had anything better than Manu and Wellington behind him.
