Kommie Harris and Kwanzaa

Last night I watched the news to get a weather report. Unfortunately, they were interviewing Kommie about how she celebrated Kwanzaa.
She described in depth how as a child they sat around relating stories and family during the 7 days of Kwanzaa. Getting ready to change channels, luckily the interview ended. At that time I started thinking what a bunch of crapola that interview was.
With a little investigation and relying on my drug and drink disparaged brain cells, Kwanzaa was invented in 1966 after the Watts riots. Hmmmmm? Kommie was born in 1964. Her family I reckon were instrumental in making Kwanzaa as popular as it is today by celebrating at least 2 years before it was invented.
