Trying out an off-the-shelf medication with apparently low risk of side effects seems like a worthy pursuit to me. Which seemed to be the main point of the doc's testimony. Quick bit of reading shows they give this shit out by the millions of doses in Africa.

Along with millions of doses of the anti-malaria medicine hydroxychloroquine, another safe drug. As we know, Fowchee and Big Pharma are interested in cheap cures. Almost like the complete embargo on the potential help from Vitamin D - another cheap and safe chemical.
