Hadn't been there in ages. What a sad lump of shit site that is. Chest left here for access, and 4 years later holds court over an army of like 3 retards. I'd be sad, butt fuck Chest.
I may or may not be on record as going full Samek.
The reality is the only path to the CFP was that the flukiness of the schedules would maybe shelter the team from the head scratching losses that inevitably come.
All our major bug a boos were eliminated: We didn't need to travel to the desert, missed the LA schools, and had an empty Autzen lined up. The annual Shaw Smirk Smackdown was also neutralized by being in Seattle, where we do typically beat them.
We always needed to beat an undefeated top 10 Oregon and USC back to back with serious Carnage in the rankings ahead of us to get a shake, so the Stanford loss really doesn't mean anything.

Anyone who blames Dylan Morris for what happened against Stanford can also fuck off
This actually happened? People blamed him?
It's hard to blame a quarterback for a loss in a game in which the defense forces a single punt and the kickoff team yields average starting field position past the 30, but I don't think it's unfair to be critical of his play, and that's a different thing. Part of the job of the quarterback--maybe the biggest job--is to check into the right play based off of defensive alignment. Being in the right play is job one. Executing that play is job two. It's hard to know the hit-to-miss ratio for the former, as it's only the checks into failed plays that are visible. All I know is that they've happened many times per game all season, usually in the form of checking into an off-tackle run against a stacked box and the run getting stuffed.
To the latter, there is a world of difference between "getting the ball to the receiver" and throwing accurately. Accuracy is about ball placement and trajectory that improves the success rate and effectiveness of the play. Accuracy is leading a wide open receiver instead of leaving 20 yards of YAC on the field with a low ball. Accuracy is throwing a fade over the top of the defender instead of on a rope where nobody can catch it. Accuracy is putting a ball in front of a tight end who is running full speed to the sideline a mere five yards in front of you instead of making him twist and reach back and octuple the odds of it being dropped on third down.
Sometimes your defense just sucks and the offense needs to win a game for them. Super Bowl and NCAA championship teams throughout history have had games like this. It's not 1905. If your defense has to hold teams under 30 EVERY game in order to win, you don't belong in a NY6. This offense has a downfield passing problem that packs defenders in the box, making everything else more difficult. It has a red zone scoring problem. Is has a first half offense problem! If you can't see that QB play in the first three quarters of three out of four games thus far is at best a major component of those problems, what games have you been watching?
This board is obsessed with Big Dick Energy, and that clouds evaluation. Hence hate Browning, love Morris. They both were/are flawed--interestingly, flawed in the exact opposite ways, but the flaws have led to the same difficulties in red zone struggles and putting a 15 yard lid on the offense.
Morris didn't lose the game, but he's on a long list of players/coaches that contributed. It was a real team effort being that shitty against that opponent.

We own the air raid
Teams are almost never the team they were "last week."
Unless you have top-5 talent you are guaranteed to turn in a shit effort and get beat by a lesser team at some point.
Iron law of CFB.
What's next - "the coaches watch practice every day, I trust their judgment" ?
If you believe that, you probably believe your fag roomate will only rub the tip on the outside of your anus

If our own run D didn't suck so much maybe we would have realized sooner that our running game sucks.
