People think this is more recent than it is. Rush (rip) started in the late 80's when most people assumed what they watched on the nightly news or read in the paper was true. He started showing the built in bias of the mainstream. Then in 94 Fox News came along. The effort to destroy both was remarkable. Then the internet blew it all wide open.
Now Fox is dead and Rush is dying. But the kids are still going strong
The NY Times, WA PO, the three networks, Time, and Newsweek all ran the same stories at the same time for decades. It is what you report and what you DON'T report that makes all the difference
Newsmax, Sheryl Atkison, Epoch Times, Megyn Kelly, Lara Logan - still a few journalists out there.
But MSM, oh fuck no.
Catherine Herridge is one of the last true investigative journalists in the mainstream media, yet her employer CBS doesn’t even report on her work on newscasts because it at times reflects poorly on Democrats.
Twenty years in J-school, that collage there would have been used as an object lesson in what not to do, a symptom of overly concentrated corporate journalism.

Maybe in school but this is what I was talking about above
There were a lot less outlets then but you could do the same collage daily

I’m curious @GrundleStiltzkin, what ARE they teaching in journalism schools now? Are the old school profs OK with the news coverage?

If they want to keep their jobs and avoid being canceled, doxed and harassed they are.
Like an Ivy League law school, what do you really learn in a modern journalism school? How to lie? The beauty of the chicom party? The nude green eel? Open borders is good for America? Count "votes" until the dem wins? When lying isn't a deal killer for a journalist but rather your go to tool, then just save the tuition money. When you can't tell if it Jake Tapper is posting on the Tug as IC, versus some dysfunctional kid posting from his mom's basement, then why bother.

Funny.
It's like Trump crying about the fact that America just fired his fat stupid ass.
Next.
