I'll make it real simple for you, HH.
Here's the deal. Two approaches:
1) Educate the citizens on the risk and then trust them to protect themselves however they see fit and let individuals make the choices they feel are best for them. Accept consequences.
2) Mandate actions, spout science and data implying the government knows better than the people and infringe on personal and economic freedoms to try to control the virus. Accept consequences.
At this point, I'd bet 70% of America would choose #1. Probably higher than that in North and South Dakota. Noem's just catering to what her constituents want. Either way there are big consequences. I'm not sure what the big deal is. Why the fuck do you people who don't live in North and South Dakota fucking care what they do?
Move on, HH. Even though I'm in Washington State, I am onboard with #1 - but I'm in the minority here. -

Yah Doogie, all of the people i have ever ever known including dead people are down with #1... it does get more complicated with spacing and those folks that simply dont care and then become carriers but i dont know that there is a solution for that. Government edicts are killing our economy and most folks are at the point where they are past wanting to say, even if its 40 below, i need to get out there and hunt to feed my family.
