    The biggest problem with professional sports is that I know who the athletes are thanks to social media and a 24 hour news cycle. I can't relate to 90% of them in any way and they project images that I frankly do not care for at all. Makes it easy for me to stop watching well before they open their mouths about politics. It's pretty clear that most athletes despise the very people who make it possible for them to make the living that they do (middle America). I'm no longer willing to have my hard earned dollars end up in their pockets.

    College kids are still mostly anonymous - their personalities don't drive the sport at the collegiate level. Yet.

    Was really bummed with the Mariners last night. I was really starting to like the young guys on that team. Now they go and fuck it all up trying to cannonize a fucking felon reaching for a weapon who gets shot. Fuck me. Fuck them. FML.

    Many of the baseball teams wanted to play but felt they couldn't. They felt pressure to call their games.

    Pro athletes still don't understand that fans grew up wanting to be them. Fans don't understand that a pro athlete is actually working a job. Pays great if you are great but its not all fun and pussy

    The gap between the two of us gets larger every year. That's why fans relate to gritty gutty guys more. Race may play a part as it usually does but the hard work aspect does too
