Police are militarized to the extent the criminals militarize. They don't train with the military per se but when the new middle east wars came the military actually came to the police community to learn police tactics since they couldn't just kill everyone under the rules of engagement. As I’ve stated here for years, I’m not a fan of militarized police, civil asset forfeiture, no knock warrants, and police brutality. But making it a race issue is fucktarded and won’t solve shit. That said, those who are making it a race issue don’t want to solve shit. Beware the race industrial complex.
Asset forfeiture is basically gone has been for a while. It's crushed the war on drugs at the regional levels as that's where the funds came from.
No knock warrants are and should be exceedingly rare.
Police brutality is a thing? The problem with use of force is that public opinions have changed so much officers can't even talk sternly or people cry. People think they can just walk away, resist, flee etc. You won't have much in the way of police soon so people can be all happy and warm inside knowing the police aren't hunting them. At least for the criminals anyway. The public is going to be pissed! -
