Practice for the normal season starts in August and you get 15 practices to be ready to go by this weekend.
So the B1G could start by October and get in line with the Power 3 for the playoffs and bowls

Time to kick the PAC 12 out of the P5. Merge with the decent Big Sky programs that are moving to FBS for all I care. Sports without fans isn’t really sports to me, anyhow. Even watching it on TV. Other than Washington, Oregon, and USC when any of them are good, it’s been a shitty football conference almost 30 years. Stanford couldn’t even sell out games when they had Andrew Luck and David Shaw should have been fired two years ago.
Without Chris Peterson, Chip Kelly/Marcus Mariota, and Pete Carroll, the PAC would be an afterthought. -
