Absolution - MUSEIt's Muse vs the Stripes for best band of the past twenty years for me and here two of their greatest albums go head to head. I'll take the three piece Brits by a cunt hair over the two piece Yanks, today at least.

White Stripes quit making music years ago while MUSE has been the only global, arena band on the planet. Not even close.dnc said:It's Muse vs the Stripes for best band of the past twenty years for me and here two of their greatest albums go head to head. Yeah I kind of cheat and count all of JW's work as the Stripes. I do think collectively they are close. But I agree Muse is superior. They're certainly my favorite band since grunge.BleachedAnusDawg said:

Elephant - The White StripesAnyone else not give a fuck about albums?
I like songs, the album is immaterial, unless it’s a concept or soundtrack. -

Not terribly gifted writing and also completely false. -
Elephant - The White Stripes03 was a pretty good year with the Postal Service album, Sun Kil Moon’s ‘Ghosts of the Great Highway’ and the Unicorns’ debut are all upper echelon aughts records. Elephant is a top 3 record of the decade imo.

Fuck off, I know it's not rock. But most memorable in 2003, quite easily.

Muse is a great live show. Seen them twice. Hard to think of a better frontman than Bellamy in his era.BleachedAnusDawg said:

I wonder what Stacy is looking like these days. She’s in her thirties by now. -

I will admit I'm a total fanboy and not impartial. Seen them 8 times. I could get by with Van Halen and MUSE as the only things on my playlist.RoadDawg55 said:
